According to the latest statistics there are about 622 million adults who can not read or write.They are scattered all over Bangladesh in varying numbers.This is big problem and needs huge resources and dedicated person.Due to its limited resources government cannot spare huge sums of money to open adult education centers with paid teaching staff. The voluntary social and educational organization will have to play a leading role in eradication of mass illiteracy.
